Received a book in the mail from my brother, Tim, and sister-in-law, Liz. I love books, and I love getting things in the mail.
I went to a white elephant party at Brian's house. It was super fun, and Brian's house is really cute. I wish I would have taken photos. I want to steal some of his art. My favorite were these ink drawings he's been doing (they look like graphic novel panels) with Star Wars characters and quotes from 80s movies. I wanted the one with the Better Off Dead quote. There was homemade sushi, white chocolate peppermint popcorn, and lots of other yummy food. We came home with a Snuggie. I love holiday parties. And it helped me to finally feel like it's Christmas. I haven't had time to decorate our house or do any shopping. I don't know if I even will this year.
I added lots of new pieces to the shop (both handmade and vintage). Only one more week of school left before the break. I need it. I've never been this busy and tired in my entire life. I'm looking forward to sleeping in, making jewelry, going up to the mountains, and seeing friends. If we can handle it, we may even have some friends over here for a post-New Year's Eve party. Game night, anyone?
