I love books! When I was little, I always said I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. English and art were my favorite subjects in school, and I was constantly writing and illustrating stories. After college, I went to grad school and focused on literature with images (graphic novels, books with photos, etc.). Needles to say, I've spent most of my life reading, studying, and talking about books. More recently, I decided to become a high school English teacher. I'm excited that I'll get to read for a living and discuss literature every single day. I especially love young adult literature, multicultural literature, women's literature, graphic novels, and books with images.
I often blog about the books I am reading, but here's a little list of some of my favorite books:
The Perks of Being a WallflowerWide Sargasso Sea
Survival in Auschwitz
